Recipe // Mango Mojito

The perfect cocktail mixer and the ideal base for Mojitos, Daiquiris, Pina Coladas and Mai-tais. Or, if you're looking for a simple sun-downer, mix a soda or tonic.

Origin Story

Dated back to 1586, the Mojito cocktail and its name are lost in time. It is believed to have originated from the shores of Havana, Cuba although this is heavily debated. It is known that the local South American Indians had remedies for various tropical illnesses – these being the ingredients of the Mojito.

This refreshing summer beverage is the perfect way to end a Summer’s day. Sit back and relax with this fruity (yet, not without a kick!) cocktail. The  Bounty White Rum sits perfectly in this recipe providing a lightly flavoured kick.

The Method
01 – Blend the Mango (frozen or fresh) until puree is smooth. Set aside.
02 – Pour lime juice, honey, Bounty White Rum and mint leaves into a cocktail shaker. Use a muddler to gently muddle the mint leaves.
03 – Add the mango puree and mix until combined. Fill a glass two thirds of the way full with the mango mixture and ice.
04 – Top with club soda. Add extra mint leaves, mango slices and lime for garnish.
