This rum highlights three types of rum found around the world. From Indonesia, Jamaica, Trinidad and Reunion Island.
Molasses makes up 55% of the blend, followed by Sugar cane juice 40% and 5% Batavia Arrack 5%. Batavia Arrack is an Indonesian cane juice rum, that uses rice in the fermentation.
What is unusual about this bottle is that it is blended with French Agricole style rum. Which is a very distinct regional style with strict production guidelines specific to France and her protectorates . The simple basis is to ensure the characteristics of locally grown sugar cane is the emphasis in the final product. Allowing the 'Terroir', the environmental elements of the production to shine.
